3i’s Dunne to chair charity group

Patrick Dunne, communications director at London-listed private equity firm 3i, has been appointed chairman at UK charity Leap.

Patrick Dunne, group communications director at global private equity firm 3i, has joined Leap Confronting Conflict, a UK charity for young adults, as chairman.
 

Dunne: charitable work

Leap, which was recently awarded more than £1 million (€1.48 million) in National Lottery funding, develops programmes to provide young people and schools with the tools and skills to deal with conflict. Dunne has been a trustee of the charity since 2002.
 
Dunne joined 3i in 1985, where he has been involved in dealmaking and growing the firm’s Independent Directors’ Programme. He is also a visiting professor at Cranfield School of Management and a member of the CBI’s London Council.
