AEG closes SMG merger

AEG Facilities LLC said Oct. 1 that it closed its merger with SMG to create ASM Global. The transaction creates the world’s biggest facility management company. SMG is an Onex portfolio company, while AEG is the venue management affiliate of Anschutz Entertainment Group. Each firm will get 50 percent of the standalone company, according to Billboard. The deal was announced in February.
