Epiris wraps up new fund

UK-based private equity firm Epiris has closed its new fund at 821 million pounds. The fund's investors include public and private pension funds, endowments and foundations, asset managers and private investors. Campbell Lutyens was the financial adviser and placement agent.

VC-backed Guardant Health goes public

Redwood City, California-based Guardant Health, a liquid biopsy company, has raised $237.5 million for its IPO after pricing its 12.5 million shares at $19 per share. The stock began trading October 4, 2018 on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "GH." J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and BofA Merrill Lynch are the lead underwriters. Guardant Health's pre-IPO backers included SoftBank Vision Fund, Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Coolfire Solutions procures $11.5 mln Series B

St. Louis, Missouri-based Coolfire Solutions, a provider of a situational awareness delivery platform, has secured $11.5 million in Series B financing. The investors included Clayton Venture Partners, the venture capital arm of Enterprise Holdings Inc.

Strivr pulls in $16 mln in GreatPoint Ventures-led round

Strivr, a provider of immersive virtual reality training, has raised $16 million in financing. GreatPoint Ventures led the round. In conjunction with the funding, GPV Managing Partner Ray Lane joined the Strivr's board of directors.

OmniSci nets $55 mln Series C

OmniSci, a creator of an extreme analytics platform, has closed $55 million in Series C funding. Tiger Global Management led the round with participation from other investors that included In-Q-Tel, New Enterprise Associates, Vanedge Capital, NVIDIA and Verizon Ventures.

ZipRecruiter books $156 mln Series B

Santa Monica, California-based ZipRecruiter, an online employment marketplace, has raised $156 million in Series B funding. Wellington Management Company and IVP led the round.

Sequoia leads Series A round for Lilt

Lilt, an AI-enabled translation platform, has raised $9.5 million in Series A funding, according to a source familiar with the transaction. Sequoia Capital led the round with participation from Redpoint Ventures, Zetta Venture Partners and XSeed Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Bill Coughran, a partner at Sequoia, has been added to Lilt's board.

Messaging app for healthcare pros Siilo locks in funding

Siilo, an instant messaging app for healthcare professionals, has secured 4.5 million euros in funding. EQT Ventures led the round.

ClimaCell nabs $45 mln Series B

Boston-based ClimaCell, a software-based hyper-local weather forecasting company, has raised $45 million in Series B funding. Clearvision Ventures led the round with participation from Ford Smart Mobility LLC, Envision Ventures, Canaan, Fontinalis Partners, JetBlue Technology Ventures and Square Peg Capital.

Randori fetches $9.75 mln

Randori has raised $9.75 million in funding. Accomplice led the round with participation from .406 Ventures and Legion Capital. Based in Boston, Randori is a developer of an attack platform that launches real attacks on customer environments so they can see where and how attackers will strike next.
