Private equity executives is giving generously to Republican and centrist Democratic candidates, the Wall Street Journal is reporting. Donald Trump has received the most, $700,000, by the industry to support his reelection, the story said. Stephen Schwarzman, Blackstone chairman and CEO, tops the list in terms of donations, providing nearly $1.5 million to 2020 candidates and political organizations through the end of September, the WSJ said, citing Federal Election Commission records.

Silver Lake wants chunk of New York Knicks, New York Rangers: New York Post

Silver Lake is looking to buy major stakes in the New York Knicks and New York Rangers before the teams are spun off into a publicly traded company, the New York Post is reporting. Silver Lake already owns 10 percent of the Madison Square Garden, which owns the teams, and it wants more, the story said. But Silver Lake doesn’t want MSG’s other assets which include Radio City Music Hall and the Tao nightclub empire, the New York Post said.

Delek Group said Nov. 4 that it completed the sale 32.5 percent of the Phoenix Holdings to Centerbridge Partners LP and Gallatin Point Capital LLC for 1.57 billion shekels ($446 million). The deal included cash and 83,255,973 Phoenix shares. Phoenix, of Israel, is a holding company offering insurance and investments.
