Bitmovin raises $30 mln

Bitmovin said Apirl 9 that it raised $30 million in Series B funding, led by Highland Europe. Also participating were existing investors Atomico, Constantia New Business, Dawn Capital and YCombinator. Bitmovin, of San Francisco, provides online video infrastructure software.

Harvey named Paysafe non-executive chairman

Paysafe said April 9 that Stuart Harvey Jr was named non-executive chairman of the board, effective immediately. Harvey was most recently president and COO of Piper Jaffray Cos. Paysafe is a portfolio company of Blackstone Group and CVC Capital Partners.

SenseTime raises $600 mln

SenseTime said April 9 that it has raised $600 million in a Series C led by Alibaba Group. Temasek and Suning are also investing. SenseTime, of Beijing, is an artificial intelligence company that provides technology that analyzes faces and images on a wide scale.

ArchiMed buys majority of Soest Medical Group

ArchiMed said April 9 that it has acquired a majority stake in Soest Medical Group. Financial terms weren’t announced. Soest Medical, of the Netherlands, develops and makes self-adhesives used to secure protective drapes to patients’ skin during surgery. Soest Medical operates two brands: Eurotape and Somed.

Idinvest Fund III first close raises $220.8 mln

Idinvest Partners said April 9 that its third digital fund raised 180 million euros ($220.8 million) in a first close. Idinvest fund III is targeting a final close of 300 million euros. Idinvest, a mid-market European PE firm, invests in enterprise software, fintech and insurtech, deeptech, and healthtech.

Omni Eye Services, a portfolio company of NMS Capital, has acquired Kremer Eye Center. Financial terms weren’t announced. Kremer, of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is medical-surgical eye care provider.
