Bernhard Capital Partners has acquired ATC Associates Inc. from Cardno Ltd. Financial terms weren’t announced. Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based ATC Associates provides environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, geotechnical engineering, government services and construction-materials testing and special inspection.

Ovizio Imaging Systems said Monday that it secured a funding round of €8m ($9.1m) co-led by New Science Ventures. Also participating were Qbic, Nausicaa Ventures, Theodorus III, Mr. Pierre Drion and a few other private investors. Ovizio Imaging, of Brussels, is developing quantitative microscopy solutions for life sciences applications.

Avedro Inc. said Friday that it completed a $32 million round of financing led by InterWest and OrbiMed. Several of the company’s existing investors also participated. Waltham, Massachusetts-based Avedro is a pharmaceutical and medical device company.

Eyefluence said Wednesday that it raised $14 million in a Series B funding round led by Motorola Solutions Venture Capital. The round included Jazz Venture Partners, NHN Investment and Dolby Family Ventures, as well as other strategic and private investors and follow-on investments from Series A investors. Milpitas, California-based Eyefluence is eye-interaction technology platform for augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) devices.

Iceye said Thursday it raised $2.8 million in Series A funding led by True Ventures. Lifeline Ventures and Founder.org also participated. Iceye, of Helsinki, Finland, provides a satellite-based information service, that aims to offer access to near-real-time imagery from space. ICEYE, in September, also secured € 2.5 million in R&D funding from SME Instrument.

NextVR said Thursday that it raised $30.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Formation 8. Investors include Time Warner Investments, Comcast Ventures, RSE Ventures, The Madison Square Garden Company and dick clark productions. Laguna Beach, California-based NextVR provides live-action virtual reality broadcast technology.

Anthemis Group said Wednesday that it is opening a New York office effective Jan. 1. Tom Ryan, who has been appointed as Head of North American Operations, will lead the office. Ryan previously oversaw the venture capital arm of Archer Gray.

Rakuten Inc. said Thursday that it has launched a $100 million global investment fund focused on investments in early to mid-stage fintech startups. The Rakuten FinTech Fund will target investments in startups and growth companies primarily in the U.S. and Europe. Managing Partner Oskar Mielczarek de la Miel is acting as the fund advisor.

EQT Infrastructure Ltd. has agreed to sell Koole Terminals to institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets. Financial terms weren’t announced. Zaandam, Netherlands-based Koole Terminals operates eight tank storage terminals and owns a fleet of twelve barges and three coasters. Morgan Stanley advised EQT.
