Valor Equity Partners said Tuesday it closed its third fund at $490 million, exceeding its initial $350 million target. All of Fund II's existing institutional pension and large family office clients made commitments to Fund III. Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal advisor. Chicago-based Valor makes expansion, growth, and buyout investments. The PE firm has invested about 32 percent of Fund III in the following companies: Addepar, Fooda, Porch.com, Renovate America, and SpaceX.

Capitala Finance Corp. said Tuesday its sold its common equity investment in Corporate Visions Inc. The sale produced $9.7 million proceeds for Capitala, generating a $7.1 million realized gain. Capitala was repaid at par, $11.5 million, in respect of its senior subordinated note. Capitala has re-invested $17.3 million of its proceeds in CVI, consisting of $15.8 million of senior subordinated debt and $1.5 million of common equity. On Monday, Sentinel Capital Partners said had acquired Corporate Visions, a marketing and sales messaging company.

BLM Acquisition Corp. has acquired a majority of Codero Hosting. The sellers were Catalyst Investors and other shareholders. Financial terms weren’t announced. BLM is a consortium of 32 regional telecom and broadband providers. Codero, with data centers in Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix, and Ashburn, Virginia, provides hybrid cloud hosting services. Webster Bank of Hartford, Conn. provided senior financing to BLM while DH Capital acted as financial advisor.

Walnut Creek, California-based Paradigm provides outsourced catastrophic workers’ compensation case management services for insurance companies and self-insured employers.

Stone Point Capital is buying an equity interest in Broadstone Real Estate LLC. Financial terms weren’t announced. Broadstone is using proceeds to invest in two real estate offerings it currently manages: Broadstone Net Lease and Broadtree Homes. Once the deal closes, Broadstone Real Estate will be jointly owned by the Tait and Leenhouts families, Stone Point’s Trident VI fund and certain BRE employees.

Engle Martin & Associates said Tuesday it agreed to buy a majority of Eberl’s Claim Service Inc. The deal includes Eberl’s Acquisition Co.
