Asset International buys Financial Webworks

Asset International Inc. said Monday it has acquired Financial Webworks. Financial terms weren’t announced. Financial Webworks, of Munich, provides fund data, regulatory documentation and marketing materials to fund distributors in Germany. Asset International is a portfolio company of Genstar Capital.

Silverfleet Fund II raises $928.4 mln

Silverfleet Capital has closed its second fund at 850 million euros (US$928.4 million), surpassing its 700 million target. Twentyfive LPs committed to the fund, including insurance groups (42%), pension funds (29%), fund-of-funds groups (15%), sovereign wealth funds (9%) and the balance came from family offices. Silverfleet, a European mid-market PE firm invests in business & financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and retail, leisure & consumer products.

Altor, Goldman buys Hamlet Protein

Altor and Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division have acquired the majority of Hamlet Protein. Financial terms weren’t announced. The sellers are Polaris Private Equity and Hamlet founder Ole. K. Hansen. Hamlet, of Horsens, Denmark, provides soy-based protein solutions used in animal feed for young animals. William Blair acted as financial advisor to the selling shareholders. Nordea provided debt financing.

Neuberger Berman launches PE team

Neuberger Bergman said Monday that it has formed a strategic partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo to invest in Italian companies. The JV calls for Marco Cerrina Feroni and Fabio Canè, who previously led Intesa Sanpaolo’s merchant banking and private equity operations, and several members of their team, to join Neuberger Berman. Stefano Bontempelli, a former Neuberger Berman’s European Private Equity MD, has also rejoined the firm. The execs, who are based in Milan, will be part of the global Private Equity Division, which led by Anthony Tutrone, Global Head of Neuberger Berman Private Equity.

Ouyang joins Wilson Sonsini

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati said Monday that Dan Ouyang has become a partner in the firm's corporate and securities practice. Ouyang was previously a partner at Paul Hastings. Ouyang will be based in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Raytheon closes $1.9 bln buy of Websense

Raytheon Co. has completed its buy of Websense from Vista Equity Partners. The company will be called Raytheon|Websense on an interim basis. Raytheon owns 80.3 percent of the new company. Vista Equity Partners owns 19.7 percent. The deal was announced in April.

Point72 names D'Antonio Treasurer

Steve Cohen’s family office, Point72 Asset Management, named Rachel D’Antonio its Treasurer. D’Antonio will continue to perform her current responsibilities as Head of Operations and will report to Tim Shaughnessy, Point72’s COO.
