Accel-KKR has acquired a majority stake in EA Holdings. Financial terms weren't announced. The deal includes EA businesses National Electronic Attachment and Medical Electronic Attachment. National Attachment and Medical Attachment provide electronic attachment services that helps payors and providers automate the healthcare claims process.

TA Associates has acquired a majority stake in BluePay Processing. Financial terms weren't announced. Goldman Sachswas the seller. BluePay provides payment processing services to merchants in the U.S. and Canada. News of the deal was reported by peHUB last month. UPDATE: James Bunn, Steve Hufford, Kate Crespo, Paul Fricilone and Scott Roman of Raymond James & Associates provided financial advice to BluePay on the deal.

The company, formerly known as FillTek, was previously the North American division of NETRADA Holding GmbH. Netrada North America provides e-commerce solutions to the fashion and beauty industry. The Carlyle Group said Wednesday it named Adam Metz a Managing Director and Head of International Real Estate, a new position. Metz joins Carlyle in October and will be based in Washington, DC. Most recently, Metz was a Senior Advisor to TPG’s real estate group.

Forum Partners Investment Management has entered into a strategic partnership with La Française, an affiliate of Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe, which calls for a substantial capital commitment to Forum’s global suite of real estate investment strategies. As part of the deal, La Française is buying a 24.9% stake in Forum, the statement says. CMNE and La Française is allocating over $600 million in capital across each of Forum’s principal investment strategies, beginning with over $200 million to Forum’s European debt platform. La Francaise will also commit capital to Forum’s global securities business, to its Asian private equity strategy and to potential expansion opportunities in the Americas.

The California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) Investment Committee said it voted to make a subtle shift in long-term asset allocation targets of its $170 billion investment portfolio. The new asset allocation cut the largest asset classes, such as Global Equity, to 51% from 53%, while Fixed Income fell to 16% from 20%. Meanwhile, the illiquid asset classes, consisting of Real Estate and Private Equity, saw their allocation edge upward by 1% respectively. The new long-term allocation target for private equity rose to 13% from 12%, CalSTRS said.

Cisco has agreed to buy Whiptail for $415 million in cash. Whippany, N.J.-based Whiptail is a storage software company that has received venture capital funding from investors including Spring Mountain Capital, RRE Ventures and Ignition Partners. Evercore acted as financial advisor to Whiptail.

Lombard Investments said that its fourth Asia fund, which was hard-capped at $350 million, held a final close on July 18. Lombard Asia IV L.P. was oversubscribed. Investors include financial institutions, pension funds and corporations, as well as family investment offices in Asia, North and South America, and Europe. Lombard Asia invests from $5 million to $35 million in companies located in Southeast Asia or Greater China, according to the firm's website.
