F.N.B. Corp. said Thursday it has launched F.N.B. Capital Partners, an SBIC licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. FNBCP will engage in mezzanine financing and private equity investments in middle market companies. In May, F.N.B.'s Small Business Investment Company fund collected $175 million in deployable capital.

Covenant-lite loan volume has nearly doubled in 2013 at about $163.6 billion in the year to date, according to Standard & Poor's Leveraged Commentary & Data. This is up from $86.8 billion for all of 2012, said S&P LC&D.

Aurora Capital is selling Mitchell International to KKR. Financial terms weren't announced. San Diego-based Mitchell provides technology, connectivity and information solutions to the property & casualty claims and collision repair industries. BofA Merrill Lynch and Three Ocean Partners advised KKR. Goldman, Sachs & Co. provided financial advice to Mitchell. William Blair & Company and Guggenheim Securities also advised Mitchell.

ATK said Thursday that it has agreed to buy Bushnell Group Holdings. MidOcean Partners is the seller. ATK said it will pay $985 million in cash. The sale price represents a projected calendar 2013 EBITDA multiple of approximately 10 times. ATK said it has secured $900 million senior secured acquisition financing. Bushnell designs, makes and distributes branded sports optics, outdoor accessories and performance eyewear.

Overland Park, Kansas-based Bushnell makes accessories such as binoculars, telescopes, night vision equipment and GPS devices for sports like hunting and fishing. Morgan Stanley & Co. and Robert W. Baird & Co. provided financial advice to Bushnell.
