Steel Partners Ltd. completed a $5.3 million investment in Ore Pharmaceutical Holdings Inc. The investment came in the form of debt and equity. The equity portion for $1.1 million involved 3.125 million 000 newly issued shares at 35 cents each. The debt is a $4.2 million note with a five year maturity. As part of the investment, Steel Partners received the right to nominate two new directors at Ore Pharmaceutical.

iCiX Inc., a Web-based network for analyzing supply chain risk and managing supplier information, secured raised $6 million in a series B funding round. Draper Fisher Jurvetson led the financing. Starfish Ventures participated in the round. iCix plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, as well as for sales and marketing initiatives.

rPath Inc. secured $7 million in financing, according to a SEC filing dated Oct. 21. The funds came from four accredited investors, and the minimum investment was $69,835. rPath is a Raleigh, N.C.-based provider of a platform for creating and maintaining software applications. Offers.com raised $7 million from Susquehanna Growth Equity, TechCrunch reported. Austin, Texas-based Offers.com is a Web site that features coupons, discounts and other promotional deals. TechCrunch said the funding from Susquehanna Growth is the first round of financing in Offers.com, with all previous financing coming from company founder and CEO Steve Schaffer. http://www.offers.com/

Dicerna Pharmaceuticals Inc. held a second close of its Series B financing round with $4 million more. The Watertown, Mass-based drug developer has raised a total of $29 million in the round. GlaxoSmithKline’s corporate healthcare venture capital arm (SR One) is a new investor. Dicerna’s existing investors include Oxford Bioscience Partners, Skyline Ventures, Abingworth and Domain Associates. Brian M. Gallagher, a partner at SR One, will join Dicerna’s board.

Goby.com closed a $2.5 million extension of its Series A funding round. Investors include Flybridge Capital Partners and Kepha Partners. The Boston, Mass.-based search engine that was launched in 2009 has raised a total of $7.5 million in capital.
