British International Investment has committed $76 million to African Infrastructure Investment Fund 4, according to a press release from the firm.
Fund 4, managed by African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), will invest in industrial, clean tech and renewable opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa. The fund has raised $116 million to date and is targeting $500 million. The fund’s predecessor closed in May 2019 on $320 million.
Since its inception in 1999, AIIM has raised seven infrastructure vehicles across Sub-Saharan Africa.
