Cathay Life Insurance continues partnership with Insight Partners and Genstar Capital

The Taiwan-based insurance company has backed two private equity funds.

Cathay Life Insurance has agreed to commit $80 million each to Insight Partners XIII and  Genstar Capital Partners XI. The Taiwanese insurer previously also committed to their predecessor funds, namely Insight Partners XII and Genstar Capital Partners X, in April 2021.

The Taiwanese insurer’s recent private equity commitments have focused on the buyout and venture capital strategies in North America and Asia-Pacific regions.
