CDC Group approves $51m commitment

The London-based finance institution has backed four South Asia focused funds.

CDC Group has announced a total commitment of $51 million to four investment funds that provides growth capital to businesses in South Asia: $25 million was allocated to Lighthouse 2020 Fund III, $10 million to Anthem Asia SME Venture Fund, $6 million to pi Ventures Fund I and $10 million to Stellaris Venture Partners India I. The Lighthouse fund focuses on growth stage consumer goods in India, the Anthem Asia fund invests in small and medium-sized enterprises and tech-enabled early stage businesses, while the pi Ventures Fund and the Stellaris fund target early-stage technology companies.
