Private equity fundraising enjoyed a steady 2015 without the quarterly peaks and troughs of previous years, according to data from PEI Research & Analytics.
The first quarter failed to continue the jump seen at the end of 2014 (see chart above), despite funds focused on Asia-Pacific enjoying a 40 percent rise in capital, compared with a year earlier.
As 2015 draws to a close, investors will look back on a year when capital raised remained constant (see chart below), despite fewer fund closures (just 102 at the time of publication).
