Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds has approved the feedback from the Advisory Council to commit $50 million to Covenant Apartment Fund IX Fund, which focuses on acquiring multifamily assets located in the Southern, Midwestern and Mid-Atlantic U.S. states. Simultaneously, the pension fund has also committed $100 million to Vista Equity Partners VII, which will primarily focus on control oriented buyout investments in middle market and large cap technology companies located in North America.
The $33.63 billion US public pension has a 21 percent target allocation to private equity real estate that currently stands at 20.9 percent, similarly US public pension has a 32 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 27.8 percent.
