CPPIB names new London co-investment head

Former Pantheon Ventures partner Nik Morandi will head up the Canadian pension's secondaries and co-investment team focused on European investments.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has hired Nik Morandi for its secondaries and co-investment team in London and is expected to head the team focusing on European investments, Secondaries Investor understands.

Morandi, a former Pantheon Ventures partner, will join the pension fund on 1 August as a senior principal, a spokesman for CPPIB confirmed. He will report to Michael Woolhouse, the pension’s head of secondaries and co-investments in Toronto.

A spokeswoman for Pantheon confirmed that Morandi had recently left the fund of funds manager. Morandi joined Pantheon in 2007, according to his LinkedIn profile.
