CDIB Capital International Corp said May 15 that it has hired two Managing Directors, Hamilton Tang and Yinghai Xie in Hong Kong and Shanghai, respectively. CDIB also hired Sandy Ng as senior vice president in the investment and portfolio management team out of Shanghai. Tang is the former group CEO of Simon Murray & Co, while Xie was a Partner of SMC. Ng was previously a principal of SMC. CDIB Capital is the PE arm of China Development Financial Holding Corp.

Silicon Valley Bank said May 12 that Michael Descheneaux was promoted to president. He had been CFO of SVB Financial Group. Daniel Beck, former CFO of Bank of the West, will become SVB Financial Group's CFO effective June 5.

Deutsche Bank said May 12 that it has hired Bruce Harting as a managing director in its financial institutions group. Harting will join the bank’s New York office this summer as head of banks investment banking coverage. He joins from Credit Suisse where he was most recently a managing director in the financial services coverage group.

PeakEquity Partners hired Justin Reger as a principal in its Radnor headquarters to focus on investments in enterprise software companies. Reger joined PeakEquity from LLR Partners, where he worked for nine years leading the enterprise application software practice. Before, Reger worked at Citigroup where he advised private equity firms on LBOs.
