Hamilton adds CD&R operating partner to board

Bermuda-based Hamilton Insurance Group, a holding company for insurance and reinsurance operations that underwrite property and casualty risks in Bermuda, the U.S. and at Lloyd's, has named Russell P. Fradin to its board of directors. Fradin is an operating partner at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. He is also the former president and CEO of SunGard Data Systems.

Vantage taps First Reserve adviser as CEO

Vantage Drilling International, an offshore drilling contractor, has appointed Ihab Toma as its next CEO and to its board of directors. Since 2014, Toma has been a senior adviser to First Reserve Corp.

Revolution appoints Van Grack as communications and public policy VP

Steve Case-led investment firm Revolution LLC has named Tracy Van Grack as its senior vice president of communications and public policy. Previously, Van Grack worked at Brunswick Group where she served as a director focused on corporate reputation, public affairs and crisis management.

New Energy Capital hires Shaw, Marcus

New Energy Capital Partners said Aug. 10 that it hired Jeph Shaw and Ian Marcus as Principals in its Hanover, New Hampshire office. Shaw was previously an Associate with the firm while Marcus joins from Morgan Stanley & Co. where he was a Vice President on the Solar Desk within the North America Power & Gas Unit in its Commodities Division.

Woodstream Corporation announced the appointment of Miguel A. Nistal as president and CEO. Woodstream, a supplier of branded lawn and garden products, is a portfolio company of Vestar Capital Partners.

AIMCo's Gabriel Becher joins DWHP's investment team

DW Healthcare Partners (DWHP) announced that Gabriel Becher will join its investment team as a principal. Becher is joining the firm from Alberta Investment Management Corp (AIMCo), where he served for close to four years as a private equity portfolio manager. He previously worked as an associate at Canadian private equity firm TorQuest Partners. DWHP, a healthcare-focused private equity investor, has offices in Toronto and Park City, Utah.

Watermill ups three to exec leadership positions

The Watermill Group has made three executive promotions. Julia Karol is now president and chief operating officer; Michael Fuller has become chief financial officer; and Matthias Bergin is now a principal.

Hirtle Callaghan taps investment industry veteran as CEO

Pennsylvania-based investment firm Hirtle Callaghan has appointed Ranji Nagaswami as CEO. Previously, Nagaswami was an operating partner and senior adviser at Corsair Capital and also a strategist at Bridgewater Associates. From 2010 to 2012, she was a chief investment adviser to the administration of then New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.

Becher to join DW Healthcare Partners

DW Healthcare Partners said Aug 8 that Gabriel Becher is joining the firm as a Principal. Becher is a former Portfolio Manager with Alberta Investment Management Corp.
