Riverdale Healthcare buys Archway Dental Practice

Riverdale Healthcare, which is backed by Apposite Capital, said Sept. 3 that it acquired Archway Dental Practice. Financial terms weren’t announced. Archway, of Stokesley, North Yorkshire, provides NHS dental care via three treatment rooms.

Constellation and DermTech merge

Constellation Alpha Capital Corp, a blank check company and DermTech, a provider of genomic analysis of skin samples, have completed their previously announced merger. Participating investors included RTW Investments, HLM Venture Partners, Irwin and Gary Jacobs and the founding family of Qualcomm Inc. Cowen and Company LLC served as financial and capital markets adviser on the transaction. The newly combined company will be trading August 30, 2019 on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbols "DMTK" and "DMTKW," respectively.

HiFiBiO Therapeutics lands $67 mln Series C

HiFiBiO Therapeutics, a biotherapeutics company, has secured $67 million in Series C financing. IDG Capital led the round.

FIGURE8 picks up $7.5 mln seed

Boston-based FIGUR8, a digital health platform that measures and tracks body movement as a biomarker, has raised $7.5 million in seed funding. P5 Health Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included E14 Fund.

Patient engagement platform Luma Health fetches $16 mln Series B

San Francisco-based Luma Health, a patient engagement platform, has secured $16 million in Series B funding. PeakSpan Capital led the round.

Universal Labs targets $50 mln for fund

Universal Labs is seeking to raise $50 million for its opportunity fund. The fund will focus on investing in the development of natural medicines that prevent and treat cancer.

PeerWell takes in $6.5 mln Series A

PeerWell, a surgery optimization platform, has secured $6.5 million in Series A funding. OMERS Ventures led the round with participation from XSeed Capital.

Boston Microfluidics snags $17.5 mln Series A

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Boston Microfluidics, a developer of blood collection devices, has raised $17.5 million in Series A funding. Anzu Partners led the round.

EBR Systems nets $30 mln

Silicon Valley-based EBR Systems, a developer of a wireless cardiac pacing system for heart failure, has secured $30 million in funding. Brandon Capital Partners and M.H. Carnegie & Co. led the round. In conjunction with the funding, EBR Systems has appointed John McCutcheon as president and CEO.

Warburg Pincus to acquire WebPT from Battery Ventures

Warburg Pincus has agreed to acquire a majority stake in WebPT from Battery Ventures. No financial terms were disclosed. Aeris Partners was financial adviser to WebPT and Battery Ventures on the transaction. Based on Phoenix, WebPT is a rehab therapy platform.
