Deloitte appoints PwC PE expert

Chris Hyams has joined the private equity transaction services group at Deloitte from PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Paris office.

Business advisory group Deloitte has appointed former PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) M&A specialist Chris Hyams as a partner in its private equity transaction services team in London.
Hyams joined Deloitte last week from the Paris office of PwC, where he was a partner working on a range of transactions for private equity houses and corporates. Hyams spent the past eight years at PwC, most recently in the Paris office but also in New York.

Mahapatra: appointed Hyams for international expertise

Timothy Mahapatra, head of private equity transaction services at Deloitte, said Hyams will work with a number of the firm’s private equity clients in the private equity transaction services (PETS) group, and that the firm would utilise his international experience, particularly of the French market.
Mahapatra said the PETS team in London numbers around 70 professionals. “The PETS practice in London is the largest team within Deloitte’s European PETS practice,” he said. “Given that many of the large PE clients are based in London, a significant proportion of the large PE transactions are led from [there].” Deloitte also has PETS offices in Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
Deloitte’s private equity clients have included Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Texas Pacific Group, Cinven, 3i, HgCapital, Candover, Investcorp and BC Partners.
