EIF approves €30m commitment

The Fund has backed an Italian corporate private debt fund.

The European Investment Fund has agreed to commit €30 million to PMI Italia II, according to a press release on the Fund’s website. PMI Italia II – managed by Finanziaria Internazionale (Finint) Investments SGR – is a corporate debt vehicle focused on lending to Italian SMEs.

The €2.66 billion EU investment organisation has a 21.40 percent allocation to private equity.

As illustrated below, the European Investment Fund has made several commitments to private equity funds with a 2019 vintage, however the commitment amounts tend to remain undisclosed.
