EMR Capital has raised $837 million for its EMR Capital Resources Fund II, according to a SEC filing. The Grand Cayman-headquartered firm began fundraising in 2016 with a $750 million target.
Its previous fund raised $450 million in 2015.
Investors that committed to EMR Capital Resources Fund II include the San Francisco Employees' Retirement System, the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System and the Oregon Public Employees' Retirement System.
The fund will target growth equity opportunities in natural resources sectors in Australia.
