First Avenue hires new director in San Francisco office

Private funds advisory and placement agent First Avenue Partners has hired Jenny Nelson as a director at its new office in San Francisco.

Nelson will be responsible for sales distribution coverage of West Coast institutional investors. She joins the firm from Partners Group, where she was head of US consultant relations.

First Avenue partner and head of North American sales David Breuner said in a statement that Nelson’s hire and the recent opening of the firm’s San Francisco office is part of the firm’s expansion in the US.

First Avenue also has offices in London, New York and Sydney, with more than 50 employees.

Its clients include buyout firm Metalmark Capital, Permira Debt Managers, M&G Investments and Actis, according to its website.
