GenoLogics, a maker of laboratory information management software, has raised $8 million in a strategic round led by Illumina Inc. The money will be used to continue product development for future clinical applications and new desktop sequencing systems. The company also plans to expand its sales and marketing efforts. GenoLogics is based in British Columbia.
