GSFA to raise PE exposure

The New Zealand Super Fund Authority sets aside nearly $70 million for PE investments.

The Government Superannuation Fund Authority(GSFA) plans to raise the exposure to private equity investment by approximately $69.47 million (NZD100 million) in the next 12 months. It will consider both experienced and first-time fund managers. Apart from blind-pool funds, it will also seek opportunities through separate accounts and the existing fund-of-funds.

The Authority is allocating 3.7 percent of its AUM to private equity and investing in around 40 funds via fund-of-funds.
