The Miami-based investment firm has held a final closing on its European-focused mid-market fund.

HIG Capital has announced the final close on its middle market fund on €2 billion, a source at the firm confirmed with Private Equity International. HIG Europe Middle Market LBO Fund will invest in mid-market companies in Western Europe who are valued at €1 billion or less.

Multiple institutional investors committed to the vehicle including Texas County and District Retirement System, Los Angeles City Employees’ Retirement System and University of California Regents Endowment Fund.
