Industry mourns Wayne Harber

Private equity veteran Wayne Harber, a senior executive at global investment advisor Hamilton Lane, has unexpectedly died.

Wayne Harber, a managing director at Hamilton Lane, passed away on Friday 16 March 2007. He was 53 years old.

As head of international business development at Hamilton Lane, Wayne was a widely known private equity professional and one of the most ardent travellers in the business.

During his nine years with the firm, he developed many close relationships and friendships with clients and other practitioners across North America, Europe, Asia, Japan, Australasia and the Middle East.

He is survived by his wife Nancy.

Hamilton Lane has established the Wayne Harber Memorial Fund, which will support the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
