UK mid-market private equity group Inflexion has brought on board a team of consultants and entrepreneurs to help its portfolio companies expand into three key emerging markets.
The executives – Rohit Hedge, Emanuele Farini, and Xuan Ye – currently work with French private equity firm MBO Partenaires and will now also work with Inflexion. They will help the firm’s portfolio companies expand into or forge links with companies and suppliers in Brazil, China, and India.
Russia, the fourth country in the BRIC quartet, appears to be a less important market to Inflexion from a portfolio company development perspective. The firm could not be reached for further comment by press time however.
Emanuele Farini, a former consultant at Accenture who is now based in Sao Paolo, will work with the firm to help its companies build a presence in the Brazilian market.

Xuan He, the third of the new appointments, is based in Shanghai and has extensive experience working with private equity firms to help establish production facilities and joint ventures in China, the firm said.
“All have proven ability to assist European businesses through working with MBO Partenaires,” the firm said in a statement.
Inflexion managing partner Simon Turner, commented: “Our portfolio companies are already trading and sourcing in over 70 countries worldwide and we are excited about how this development will further expand their horizons. Adding local expertise in Brazil, China and India deepens our understanding of these growth markets and enables us to offer insight and access to current and future investee companies to really fuel their growth.”
The firm said it remained committed to its core investment thesis of backing high growth, niche companies headquartered in the UK but with the potential to develop internationally.
