- VC-backed digital life insurance platform Covr opens Hartford corporate office
Covr Financial Technologies, a digital life insurance platform, has opened its corporate office in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Covr Technologies was founded in Boise, Idaho. Covr's backers include Nyca Partners, Commerce Ventures, Connectivity Capital Partners and Contour Venture Partners.

LendingFront, a small business lending software provider, has raised $4 million in Series A funding. Information Venture Partners led the round with participation from Newark Venture Partners, Revel Partners, Contour Venture Partners, Struck Capital, ValueStream Ventures and Las Olas VC.
- Syndio rallies $5.2 mln seed
Syndio, a pay equity SaaS startup, has raised $5.2 million in seed funding. The investors were Sirius Partners, Contour Venture Partners and Frontier Venture Capital. In addition to the funding, Syndio has named Maria Colacurcio as CEO. She is the co-founder of SmartSheet, which went public last April and is also a former director at Starbucks.
- BounceX raises $37 mln round led by Battery Ventures
New York-based BounceX, which provides behavioral software to direct marketing campaigns, announced it has raised $37 million in a Series B round of funding. Battery Ventures led the round, which included participation from Contour Venture Partners, Primary Venture Partners and Cross Creek Advisors, among others. Founded in 2012, the company has now raised $69 million in total funding. As part of the latest round, Neeraj Agrawal, a general partner at Battery Ventures, has joined the board.
