Toronto-based Plooto, a payments automation platform for small and medium-sized businesses, has closed a Series A financing, raising C$8 million.

Quebec City-based data security software provider Qohash has raised C$8 million in a Series A financing.

Fintop Capital has closed its second fund at $126 million, beating its $100 million target.

Bipsync, a research platform provider for investment management firms, has secured $7 million in funding. Edison Partners led the round with participation from FINTOP Capital.

Chicago-based Bridge, a portfolio management software platform provider for RIAs, fiduciary financial advisors, and wealthtech companies, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding. FINTOP Capital and MissionOG led the round.

Beanworks, a Vancouver-based accounts payable automation company, has secured $10.1 million in a Series B financing. The round was led by U.S. venture capital firm FINTOP Capital alongside BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Venture Fund. They were joined by new and existing investors. As a result, BDC Capital's Michelle Scarborough and FINTOP's Joe Maxwell joined the board. Founded in 2012, Beanworks' cloud-based solution helps businesses streamline invoice-to-payment strategies by eliminating paperwork and reducing processing costs. Led by CEO Catherine Dahl, Beanworks will use the funds raised to enhance its platform, release an expense module, and expand into new markets.

Boston-based Bison, a provider of software solutions for the private markets, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding round. Fintop Capital led the round with participation from Hamilton Lane and GrandBanks Capital. In addition to the funding, Bison has added Rick Kushel, general partner of Fintop, to its board of directors.

Plooto is a Toronto-based provider of accounts payable and accounts receivable automation software to small to medium-sized businesses.

Amaryllis Payment Solutions, a provider of a payment facilitation platform, has raised $10 million in Series B financing.

Fairwords, a provider of AI-powered communications protection software, has secured $5.25 million in Series A funding.

PulsESG, a enterprise environmental, social and governance software as a service platform, has raised $8.5 million in seed funding.

Snappy Kraken, an automated growth program for financial advisors, has secured $6 million in Series A financing.

French software company Quadient has agreed to acquire 96 percent of Beanworks, a Vancouver-based provider of software-as-a-service accounts payable automation solutions.

InsurePay, a workers' compensation administration and insurance premium billing platform for insurance providers, has raised $5 million in Series A financing.

Vancouver-based Fispan, a contextual business banking platform, has secured US$19 million in financing.
