Korea’s Yellow Umbrella seeks PE/VC fund managers

The South Korean pension issues a RFP for PE/VC managers.

Yellow Umbrella has issued a request for proposal for domestic private equity and venture capital fund managers.

The pension plans to commit a total of 260 billion Korean won ($229 million; €193 million) to at most 10 private equity managers and a total of 100 billion won to at most 10 venture capital managers. Eligible managers should possess at least five years of experience in the private equity/venture capital industry.

The submission deadline is 21 July, 2021, with a decision put to the investment committee planned between August and September.

The 14.54 trillion won pension has a 17.8 percent target allocation to alternative investment that currently stands at 19.1 percent.
