LAFPP approves $51.2m in commitments

The US public pension has backed two multi-regional private equity funds.

The Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System announced commitments of $26.2 million to Astorg VII and $25 million to Court Square Capital Partners IV, according to meeting minutes.

The $20.50 billion public pension system has a 10% target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 8.66%.

As illustrated in the charts below, LAFPP has allocated 21.66% to alternative assets. It is the first round of commitments that the pension has announced in 2019.
