The fundraising total saw a modest uptick of nearly $700 million in the past two weeks as U.S. buyout and mezzanine firms collected what could have been their final pledges of the year. All told, U.S. firms have collected about $60.69 billion from limited partners thus far in 2009, according to Buyouts.
