Miami Firefighters’ and Police approves $45m in commitments

The US public pension has backed three private equity funds.

The City of Miami Firefighters’ and Police Officers’ Retirement Trust announced commitments of $15 million each to Coller International Partners VIII, Lexington Capital Partners IX and PEG Global Private Equity VIII.

As illustrated in the charts below, the $1.56 billion US public pension has a 4 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 4.8 percent. Miami Firefighters’ and Police has made three commitments focused on private equity, which combined constitute $45 million.
