Nordic Capital has expanded its operating expert network with the appointments of two senior advisors and operating chairman.
The firm has added Per Larsson and Paul Hökfelt to its Nordic Capital network, which consists of industry executives from across the globe. The network assists Nordic in proprietary sourcing, company development and exiting portfolio companies.
The senior advisors are focusing on pursuing investment opportunities and enabling the progress of the portfolio companies through board representation. Their expertise and experience, notably from industry and finance are available to support the strategic and sustainable development of Nordic’s portfolio companies.
Larsson is chairman of a number of Nordic’s portfolio companies including Euroline, Lindorff, Orc and CameronTec, while Hökfelt chairs the boards of Unilabs, the Binding Site and AniCura.
“Nordic Capital’s network of advisors plays an important role in supporting the successful and sustainable development of Nordic Capital’s portfolio companies. Larsson and Hökfelt both made significant contributions as chairmen so far and we really look forward to continue working together with them in the formal roles of senior advisor and operating chairman,” Kristoffer Melinder, managing partner at Nordic Capital.
The appointments come a few months after Nordic expanded its team with two newly created roles focusing on communication and environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. In January, Nordic hired Karin Lepasoon, a former executive vice president at project development and construction company Skanska, as a director of communications, ESG and human resources. The firm also hired Emma Brandt as ESG manager.
