Northgate Capital raises $120m

The San Francisco-based fund-of-funds manager closed its eighth venture capital fund-of-funds.

Northgate Capital held a final closing of Northgate Venture Partners VIII at $120 million. Capital raised by the fund-of-funds will be used to invest in venture capital partnerships within the technology sector in areas such as North America, Western Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

NVP VIII received capital commitments from several institutional investors throughout the United States and around the world. With the closing of NVP VIII, Northgate Partners now manages $4.9 billion in assets.
