NPS approves KRW200bn in commitments

The South Korean pension fund has committed to five domestic venture capital funds.

National Pension Service of Korea (NPS) has committed a total of KRW200 billion ($167.8 million; €151.6 million) to five South Korea-focused venture capital funds managed by SV Investment, IMM Investment, Premier Partners, K2 Investment Partners and KNet Investment Partners.

The pension scheme will disclose the fund selections in the first quarter of 2020.

As illustrated below, NPS has a 12.7 percent target allocation to alternatives that currently stands at 11.6 percent.
