NYSCRF commits $1.1bn to private equity funds

The US public pension invested in four private equity funds in October.

In October 2018, the New York State Common Retirement Fund committed $325 million to Hellman & Friedman IX, $300 million to KSL Capital Partners V, $200 million to New York Balanced Pool Asia Investors III and $300 million to New York Co-Investment Pool Asia III.

The $207.4 billion US public pension has a 10 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 8.3 percent.
