Oriens Investment Management raises €70m

The Budapest-based firm has closed fund at its target.

Oriens Investment Management held a final close for the Oriens Fund II at the €70 million target.

The fund’s predecessor Oriens Fund II had raised its $114 million hard-cap amount in 2016.

The latest fund has secured more than €50 million of its commitments from US limited partners, with investors from the Netherlands and Hungary providing the remainder.

The firm will use the capital to make investments in a diverse number of sectors in Central Europe, including Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
