Platinum Equity completes buy of Livingston from CPPIB, Sterling

U.S. private equity firm Platinum Equity has wrapped up its acquisition of Livingston International Inc, a Toronto-based customs brokerage and trade services company. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which was announced in February. The sellers were Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and U.S. private equity firm Sterling Partners, which acquired the listed Livingston in 2010 for $324 million. Established in 1945, Livingston is the largest pure-play customs brokerage in North America.
