Platinum Equity to acquire Staples' Australia and New Zealand business

Platinum Equity has agreed to acquire Staples' business in Australia and New Zealand. No financial terms were disclosed. Morgan Stanley is serving as financial adviser to Staples on the transaction. The deal is expected to close in the second calendar quarter of this year.
