PSERS approves $800m in commitments

The US public pension has backed five private equity funds in its latest round of commitments.

Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System has agreed to $800 million-worth of private equity commitments across five vehicles, according to recent news releases on the pension’s website.

The commitments comprise of $200 million to Clearlake Capital Partners VI, $150 million to Insight Venture Partners XI, $150 million to Apax X, $150 million to Incline Equity Partners V and $150 million to Portfolio Advisors Secondary Fund IV.

The $55.78 billion US public pension has a 16.0 percent target allocation to private equity that currently stands at 14.60 percent.

As illustrated below, PSERS has made 10 commitments to 2019-vintage private equity funds, which combined constitute $1.47 billion.
