SBIA elects 2015-2016 officers and board

John D. White of Founders Equity will chair the board of governors, succeeding Mike Blackburn.

The Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA) elected its 2015-2016 executive committee and board of governors at this year’s National Summit for Middle Market Funds in Florida.

John D. White, founding partner of Founders Equity in New York, will become chair of the SBIA, succeeding Petra Capital Partners’ Mike Blackburn. He had been chair-elect the previous year.

“The SBIA leadership has a full agenda promoting the mission of the association of senior investment professionals focused on the lower middle market whose members represent the entire private capital ecosystem,” SBIA president and board member Brett Palmer said. “It is an alliance for professional fellowship, business opportunities, innovation, regulatory expertise and market data.”
