Shamrock Capital Sells the Harlem Globetrotters
Shamrock Capital Advisors has sold the Harlem Globetrotters International to the Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. Financial terms weren't announced. Herschend Family Entertainment, of Norcross, Ga., is a family-owned entertainment company that operates several theme parks and tourist attractions in the U.S. Genesis Capital provided financial advice to Herschend. Piper Jaffray advised the the Harlem Globetrotters. In June, Reuters reported that Shamrock Capital was looking to sell the highflying exhibition basketball team that has toured the world for decades.
