Shield Therapeutics Inks $12M
Specialty pharmaceutical company Shield Therapeutics has closed on 8.2 million euro ($12 million) from Inventages Venture Capital. The Series A round is the company’s first institutional funding. The funding will help continue development for the company’s proposed treatment for iron deficiency anemia. The venture investment is scheduled in two equal tranches over the next two years. Prior to the investment by Inventages, Shield Therapeutics raised a approximately 6 million euro from private investors.
