Paul Capital, the secondary private equity specialist, has hired Simon Guenzl as a principal in its New York office.
Guenzl will focus on secondary transactions. He most recently spent five years with Sprout Group, the venture arm of Credit Suisse First Boston. Before that, Guenzl worked as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers and then Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, which later merged with CSFB. He comes from a legal background in Australia and the UK.
In related news, Suzanne Rombeau has joined Paul Capital’s San Francisco office as an analyst for secondary investments.
Paul Capital, which recently opened a London office, also manages primary funds of funds and a medical royalties investment programme.
