Stonington Capital Advisors has named Ed Eiland as a partner in the placement agent’s Atlanta office, according to a statement from the firm.
Eiland joined Stonginton at the beginning of the year to work on fundraising assignments, manage institutional relationships and assist with the firm’s distribution efforts. He was previously the director of investor relations at HIG Capital in Miami. Eiland has also provided independent placement and advisory services, according to Stonington’s website.

New York-based Stonington was founded in 2012 by former Lehman Brothers executives Dana Pawlicki and Justin Garrod. Pawlicki also co-founded Evercore Partners' private funds group. The Stonington team also includes founder of Profor Securities, Patrick O’Meara, who works on fundraising assignments.
Stonington focuses on private equity funds of $1 billion or smaller, secondary fund interest and direct private placement advisory services. The firm is working with at least three funds that are currently in the market, a source familiar with the firm told Private Equity International.
