Stonyrock targets $1bn

The New York-based firm is raising $1bn for its North American private equity vehicle.

Stonyrock Partners is targeting $1 billion for Stonyrock Alt Fund I, according to an April SEC filing. The firm is also fundraising for Stonyrock Co-Invest Fund I, which has raised $20.25 million in commitments to date.

Both funds will invest in North American mid-market companies and has attracted commitments from 12 investors combined. For example, the South Carolina Retirement System announced in its April commission meeting that they will commit up to $100 million to Alt Fund I.
