TA Associates promotes 12

The Boston-based private equity firm has five new managing directors.

TA Associates announced that it has promoted 12 investment and administrative professionals.

Jeffrey Barber, Michael Berk, Todd Crockett, Jonathan Meeks and Ajit Nedungadi were promoted to managing director from principal.

Thomas Albert, chief financial officer, was promoted to director from principal.

Christian Grünwald, John Kossow, Jennifer McAuliffe Mulloy and Vivian Wu were promoted to principal from vice president.

Harry Taylor was promoted to senior vice president from vice president.

Roberto Ramirez was promoted to vice president of finance from controller.

Six of the appointments were made in the firm’s Boston office, four in Menlo Park and two in London.

TA Associates closed its last two funds, TA X at $3.5 billion and TA Subordinated Debt Fund II at $777.5 million in March 2006. The firm manages $10 billion in capital and has invested in more than 370 companies.
